The 2007 season ended with a total of 102 families helped with used furniture, a 50% increase over the previous year.  Among the items delivered, there were 128 beds: 65 twin beds, 2 bunkbed sets, 35 full beds, 10 queen beds, and 16 cribs.  The beds were delivered with new pillows, sheets and, if possible, blankets and comforters.  In six cases, four or more beds were delivered to a single family, getting the entire family off the floor.

Several times during the year, a Pittsburgh social service agency would call our number and ask if we were the Beds for Kids organization.  Yes, we answer to that!
